ABOUT ME

I’m an Emmy-winning creative executive with experience at DreamWorks Animation, Sony Pictures Animation, and Cartoon Network, where I developed award-winning series including She-Ra and the Princesses of Power and Spirit Riding Free, along with a range of original and rebooted properties.

I have an MFA in Film from Columbia University and I’ve spent nearly two decades inside the development process, helping stories find their shape, their voice, and their reason for being. My work spans animated and live-action storytelling, with a focus on character-driven narratives and long-form development.

Over time, I’ve become particularly interested in the relationship between emotional truth and structure. What a story is really about, and how clearly that idea is expressed on the page and on screen. The projects that work rarely do so because they are the biggest or most expensive. The ones that work are most precise about what they are trying to say, and disciplined enough to execute on it. In my experience, when something isn’t working, it’s almost always because we’ve lost sight of what the story is actually about.

Through my company, Cannonball Media, I now partner with creators and companies to bring that same level of clarity and intention to projects at all stages of development.

At the heart of it, I’m drawn to stories that help us make meaning, and to the process of shaping them so they can actually land.
